2x10 Combo | Great blues sound at modest volume | Comments and modifications to your Mesa Boogie Blue Angel Amp
I play an american telecaster through a digitech screamin blues pedal. After you tweak the digitech you will get great light overdrive and sustain. Perfect for blues. I have been an active musicician for 30 years and finally found "THE" sound. The blue angel is awesome |

4x10 Combo | hot simmer | you'll need a hot bridge pickup for this spicy bit of tone, and an attenuator helps with cutting the maxed volume down(the padded down input in conjuction with the bright switch necesitates a maxed volume for the slight sizzle this setting provides)
very round sounding, with an airy top end with a neck pup, but more cuting with a highoutput bride pup |

4x10 Combo | Bedroom Sludge | Plug the speaker into the 16 ohm jack. The huge missmatch creates this nasty sponge mudd sluge. Heavy saturation will begin at around 10 and will thicken until full volume. Balance the volume control with the mids between 10:00-3:00 for the most clarity. This setting is NOT for the weak of heart, it will only suit a limited style as its almost totally useless, but good for low volume overdrive. It helps if you have a highoutput pickup with a very tight midrange to cut through the sludge. If you have a muddy pickup this WONT work. Even at max volume, this is still suitable for home use. Probably the best way to achieve a high gain sound from this amp without an attenuator. |
