It varies depending on the amp I am using, the amp model selected, guitar used, mood etc. I tend to use the GE-7 in front of the amp rather than through the loop, as I find this works better for the clean & crunch tones. The above grid is not too flexible, as the real settings are kinda in-between. To get the best from an EQ pedal like the GE-7, you need to raise more of the sliders than lower them. I am toying with the idea of getting the Boss EQ-20, which is programmable, and putting this in the loop (it has a loop signal adjustment switch) whilst still running the GE-7 in front. This is because each end responds differently to pre & post distortion patches (eg cleans respond better EQd front end, & high gain models respond better EQd through the loop) Rich View Settings Boss GE-7 Crunchy distortion Very crunchy, chugga chugga type distortion.
